The attempts to \u201cmake a country great again\u201d, such as Brexit and Trump\u2019s politics are drawn on our fear of loss of possessions, jobs, and identities. However, they come at the expense of a sustainable future of humanity. No country can exist by itself, because we are all connected through our shared world. Yet, traditional hierarchical systems require us to respect people of higher status more than others. To rise above hierarchy may be an important step on the way to equality.
